SECTIONS:

The SECTIONS_V2.shp file contains the basic sections information:
OSM_SECTIO: This number is a link to the SEGMENTS data. Same Section links to more than one uniform segment. The connecting field iin SEGMENTS_V2.shp file is OSM_SECTIO field.
Other attributes:
FIRST_ROAD - is a combination of the Route, Section and Direction of the section. (N00102N) N001 is the Route, 02 is the section (Section 2) and N is the Direction (Direction North)
FIRST_BEGI - the start kilometer of the section
LAST_EDN_D - End kilometer of the section
FIRST_BE_1 - Start description of where the section starts
LAST_END_1 - End description where the section ends



The SEGMENTS_V2 file contains more detail of the sections and is broken down in uniform segments.

OSM_SECTIO field links with OSM_SECTIO field in the SECTIONS_V2.shp file.

More details relating to the different uniform segments include these fields and more. The important fields are:
LINEAR_ID - this is the Route number information
SECTION_ID - this is the section number on the route
DIRECTION - this is the main direction of the route and section
BEGIN_DIST - the start kilometer of the uniform segment
END_DIST - the end kilometer of the uniform segment
BEGIN_DESC - the description at the start of the segment
END_DESC - the description at the end of the segment
LANES - the number of lanes on the segment.

ROAD_ID - a combination of the LINEAR_ID (Route), SECTION_ID(Section number) and Direction.
RESPONSIBI - indicator for if this is a toll(T) or non-toll(NT) segment
PAVEMENT_T - pavement type - whether this is asphalt or seal surface (FLEX), concrete (JPCC or CRCP) and gravel (GRAV). Gravel roads are not to be measured.
